Bertie the lemming is not interested in the Society of Distinguished Lemmings, but when he makes friends with a bear, it turns out the society may not be done with him. In fact, even though the lemmings ultimately reject the bear (too dirty, bad manners, etc.), when Bertie and the Bear realize the lemmings, which are off on a trip to the shore, may be in real trouble, they decide to mount a rescue mission.
The only thing I wish is that each of the lemmings were more distinguished from each other (like minions) so that a reader can follow specific ones from page to page. But otherwise, even though the pages feels text dense (lemmings have lots of side conversations), the overarching story is simple to follow and very funny.
