When Levi is ready for his first day of school, he is scared. His dad tells him "Big boys Don't Cry." As Levi walks to school on that first day he sees grown men and boys shedding tears. When Levi finally reaches the school, he too, sheds a tear. Things get better once he is at school. After school he hurries home to his dad, noticing that some of the people he had seen crying in the morning seemed happier. A big surprise awaits him when he arrives home to his dad.
Cute story! It is OK to cry, for both boys and girls. I liked following Levi on his journey to discovery that it is OK to cry sometimes. A cute book and a good read a loud. My grandchildren enjoyed the story of Levi when I read it to them.
