A little ant falls asleep on a flower. A little girl plucks the flower and presses it between the pages of a book – transferring the any also into the book! There the ant teaches the characters, which also look like ants, how to move about the pages and created adventures of their own.

I loved this cute mix of an ant and the words on the page. The author lives in China, so the characters are Chinese, rather than words in English, so it will be a little harder for American children to relate to – otherwise it would be “essential” .
