BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
A tiny young girl is hoping to find a friend. She is smaller than the flowers, and although the animals are kind and invite her to their parties and to dinner and such, it's just not the same as having a real friend.
A Lovely Journey is an odd story. There's a lot the readers needs to assume for themselves, she's worried about being alone and thinks of "times past" in a room with pictures. I wonder what happened that now she is tiny and has no friends.
