New to an elementary school, a young boy is having a hard time deciding what group activity to join in on during recess. After assessing different groups, he pulls out a rope game that you hook around your ankles and jump in and out of and several girls join in his game. 

Initially I thought the book was going to make a point about the degenderization of certain recess games, but it came across as more of a celebration of old fashioned recess games. The pace was slow and I don’t think the book will have a very wide appeal.
