Rock the pigeon is recruited to a crime solving-gang of pigeons. Homey, Tumbler, Frillback
and Rock are led by the more mature pigeon Grandpouter and help solve problems. In part one, the pigeons solve why there isn’t
breadcrumbs at the park anymore. In part
two, they uncover who is trapping bats.
And in the third part, they help deploy a stink bomb at the food truck
park. Their enemies are the same
culprits throughout, so there is a good guy/bad guy feel.
These cute pigeons make for a fun fast read
for newer readers. The illustrations are
adorable, with big-eyed pigeons and Rock is good at disguises which made me
laugh. The personalities of the pigeons are
the best part, but the crimes they solve were also entertaining. This is the
first book in the series, so if your readers like this there are more.
