A penguin mom has to leave her little penguin and the little penguin tries to find substitutes for her mom, but nothing is right. During this quest, the little penguin’s mom sends a care package from where she is working to help the little penguin feel loved until she can return home.
We had to look closely at the pictures to figure out where the mom had gone, but it appears that she went to a research type ship, indicating she left for work. I like that the mom was working, but it was distracting for my kids to have to figure out where she went. Other than that this was a simple but sweet book.
