Sammy has glasses. He doesn't like them, they make his ears hurt. Everyone says they can't see Sammy, only the handsome boy in the new blue glasses, so Sammy is afraid the glasses make his unrecognizable - like Superman when he wears his glasses.
Marjorie Crosby-Fairall's illustrations are beautiful. Oh Sammy, his is handsome, and his expressions are so sweet. Gervay's story is perfect for the child who is getting glasses or feels uncomfortable about wearing them.
