While a board book, the pages are large. Each page not only has a lot to discover in the illustrations, but each page has several flaps to lift; the flaps blend into the illustrations, so I had to run my fingers all over the pages to find each of them. The illustrations are very full - almost too much.

I love a board book with a difference - in this case, holes of every page - including the covers! Nibbles is silly and the action is based around a countdown - so educational to boot!

Sliding scene changers will be fun for young eyes and hands, who will want to flip the pages back and forth to make the changes. The rhyming is simple and a little stiff. A good optional holiday book.

Join the Haunted House as the inhabitants get ready for a great Halloween season!
Instead of pulling tabs, you need to shake the book (it says that on the cover) in order to find the hidden characters. The directions inside the book are “Say Trick-or-Treat”, instead of reminding you to shake and all of the hidden characters appear each time you shake. But the illustrations are charming.

Elys takes the familiar “This Little Piggy” and transforms it into a Halloween story that encompasses all ten toes.
The cute monsters and the sweet ending make this a fun Halloween remake for those that like their classics with a spooky twist. It would be worth it to memorize the new lines to play with all of those cute baby toes.

Little Witch Cat is getting ready to celebrate Halloween with her friends.
Chronicle has a wide variety of finger puppet books - more than 50 of them. I‘m going to go through them to choose the ones that speak to me. The verse on each spread is short, but the story makes sense. The finger puppet is the star of the reading, of course.
