Curious About Birds by Catherine Sill - ADVISABLE

Curious About Birds by Catherine Sill, illustrated by John Sill, BOARD BOOK Peachtree Publishing, 2020, $7. 9781682631904

BUYING ADVISORY: Pre K - ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Birds have lots of the same characteristics - they have feathers, hatch from eggs, have wings and bills, but they also have difference, some are big - like an egret, or small as a hummingbird, some fly, some swim, they build their nest in different places, some live in groups, some live alone. But all are important to our world.

A thorough exploration of birds in just a short board book. The illustrations are amazing - different birds on each page, identified for the reader. A child who loves birds will learn a lot of information, and will also be able to identify a number of birds, drawn in their natural habitat. Such a beautiful board book.
