Jack and Annie go on a time traveling
adventure to Greenland. While there, they
see a narwhal that is trapped in the ice and help to free it. They also meet a boy named Erikson and learn
that he is the son of famed explorer Leif Erikson.
Much like other Magic Tree House books, this
is a fast and simple adventure for young readers. I liked the setting of Greenland, the
information about Narwhals and the explanation on how the sun stays in the sky
during the night in Greenland. There are
interesting black and white drawings that help tell the story and that help
break up the text for younger readers.
