Wombat likes her things just so. She keeps a tidy house. She noticed that her neighbors did not keep things tidy but she did not concern herself with them. However, when the water hole ran dry she dug a new one. Then when wildfires threatened, she invited her neighbors inside her home. 

This is a very sweet story about stepping up and helping out in your community during times of need. This would be a good read-aloud book. The illustrations are beautifully done. I especially liked that the story is based on behaviors observed in wombats during the Australian fires of 2019.
