As the Little Circus pulled into the village where they always do their Christmas performance, the circus people learn that the village has fallen on hard times and most everyone has moved away. The circus decides to move on to the next town. The littlest clown says that he and the baby animals are too tired to keep traveling. The little clown and the baby animals stay behind. To cheer up the people in the town the little clown and his baby animals put on a Christmas eve circus.
A sweet read-aloud story of kindness and the spirit of Christmas. Instead of being sad about being left behind, the little clown chooses to provide an act of service for the people in the village. The illustrations are bold and bright with an appealing folk art quality to them.
