Goldie, a young elementary student, teaches us all she knows about taking care of grandparents. She knows that grandparents need playtime, lots of ice cream and dance parties. We discover that Grandpa knows a thing or two about taking care of grandchildren as well!
McElroy has a sweet book about the love between a grandparent and his grandchild. Potty humor is used quite a bit, which might appeal to young readers. The illustrations are bright and colorful and look like they have been drawn by a child. The font may make the text difficult for younger students to read. Goldie and her grandpa are presumably white.
