Tato is big enough to help with her favorite chore now. Babo, her grandmother, directs the children as they wash the rugs in the street. Tato and her friends jump and slide, playing and laughing in the soapy water. Tato is big enough to help put away a loose chicken, but when the rest of the chickens get out too, can she help save the day?
The end pages include a translation/pronunciation guide for the Armenian words throughout the book. I enjoyed learning about the joys of rug washing day which are based on the author's childhood experience. The characters are Armenian.
