The story of what animals would do if they celebrated Halloween. They would carve pumpkins to look like themselves, decorate the places where they live and collect treats like sweet seeds, candied leaves, chocolate ants and honey gummy bears. It is easy to go along with the author in imagining an animal Halloween. The illustrations have a soft, sweet quality to them. I liked how the text highlights action words such as swish-swaying, loop-de-loop, prance-prance and flap-flap.
