Besides helping you and me at night, the moon is important to a wide variety of animals all over the world. 

Stewart gives us a short phrase about an animal and then two detailed sentences with more matter-of-fact information. I like this kind of back matter right on the page - it gives the reader the option of only reading the surface text or diving deeper, depending on the audience. She also includes more information about the moon and about the animals mentioned in the back matter. Lanan uses a variety dreamy shades in her illustrations to evoke the feeling of peace (usually), within the pages.
