As a child, Fred was stuck inside because of his extremely bad asthma. The sound of his Grandfather's violin kept him company. While he still had problems with bullies, his love of playing the piano kept him company and brought joy to his family. When he got older, he wanted to share his songs with children to help them, too, so he created a show to share with the world.
A lovely nostalgic book for those who grew up watching Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It also would be good for a music class; supplement with some YouTube clips of the show. Not a personal choice re-read for students, though.
