"Gray" follows a little girl who feels "gray" one day. She doesn't understand why she doesn't feel like a brighter color, she just does. Her mother explains that not everybody feels bright and happy all the time and that we all feel gray every once in a while.
The illustrations help show us how we feel these colors at different times and brightens up the storyline. This is a great book for every reader, reminding us that none of us feel bright all the time, and it's normal to feel gray. This book is a great way of explaining how emotions change, come, and go. It's relatable to kids and readers of all ages and pulls them in with aligning illustrations. The ending is positive, and the metaphors connect with readers.
