The three bears (osos) went for a walk before dinner. After they left, Goldylocks (Rubio) entered the cottage (casita) and found the small bowl of soup (sopa) that was just right (perfecto). Rubio tries the chairs and breaks the small one. She goes upstairs and tries the beds and falls asleep in the little one. When the bears come back, they are sad and angry and chase Rubio away. Rubio feels bad. What can she do to make it right?
Rubia and the Three Osos is a delightful retelling of Goldilocks and the three bears. It had just the right combination of English and Spanish words for a non Spanish speaker to learn and understand. The illustrations were humorous and delightful.
