A young boy is excited to go to school, meet other kids, and learn their names. His parents encourage him to learn other kids' names carefully and kindly. When he tells the other kids his name, they act confused, or giggle and and can't say it. He feels sad and different. Why is his name so important and what does it mean to him? 

My Name is an interesting heartfelt story to teach children about the importance of learning and respecting each other's names. I enjoyed the realization that some people struggle with this, and how we can celebrate differences. I also loved the cute, lush, storytelling illustrations.
