A mother and son wake one morning to find a magical wishing tree. The son makes various wishes--to fly, to have lunch with bears, etc--but the mother keeps her wish to herself. At the end of the day her son realizes she hasn't made a wish, but she has! Her wish was to spend the day with him.
Nancy Tillman specializes in tug-at-your-heartstrings books written in rhyme and this one is no different. The rhymes are nice and the simple story will make any reader smile. I feel like these are books that adults are especially drawn to read to their own kids, so I imagine this will be a big hit with adults. Kids can still appreciate it, but the target audience is definitely adults.
