Lousie, a chipmunk, declares that he can predict the future and his bear friend, Arnold, must pay in marbles. Arnold becomes frustrated that Lousie is making vague predictions, but in the end they both see the playful nature of the game.

This book is fantastic for new readers because it is full of easily decoded words in large font, but has a sustained plot. This book is ideal for confidence building. The illustrations are also charming and pair perfectly with the text.
