Following a steady pattern, this book shows a variety of parents reading to their young kids. On each page it has a parent (sometimes an animal parent) reading to a child in a crib and that child is holding a doll of the parent that will be on the next page.

The appeal of this book is probably limited to very young kids, given the style of illustration and the fact that the kids depicted in the story are still in cribs. The repetition of the book does make it a soothing bedtime experience.
