This is an activity
book which takes a young reader through the Savanna habitat. Its full of facts
about plants and animals. Each page has a coloring activity and a sticker
activity (it comes with quite a few stickers). An example would be: Impalas are
champion jumpers. There is a fact box and the tasks to put horn stickers on the
Impala and color the cheetah and the bush. The illustrations are quite large
and simple.
This activity
book would not work for a library but it would be a fun activity if a teacher
could afford a copy for every student in their classroom. It would also make a
fun gift for a child who loves nature and can sit still for some busy work
(like on a plane). I learned a lot from
reading the fact boxes and I think the author did a great job including things
that would pique a child’s interest.
