AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
Lion was a bully. He kept picking on all the animals, and the animals had had enough. They sent out an advertisement asking for help. The Bear, the Tiger, and the Moose all tried to help, but they were unsuccessful. Finally, the Rabbit came and offered to fix the problem. The Lion challenged Rabbit to several different competitions and was humbled by Rabbit at every turn. Lion finally accepted defeat and promised never to bully the other animals again. Little did the Lion know, it wasn't just one rabbit who had defeated him, but a family of rabbits sneakily working together.
This was a fabulous story that brilliantly teaches the concept of teamwork and collaboration. Children will love searching for the hidden rabbits who helped to defeat the Lion. The simple but colorful illustrations add humor and fun to the story. This is one that children will read again and again.
