Caveman Dave and his friend Jon are in a contest to see whose rock is bigger, taller, prettier, etc., until they decide that there is something better than can make with their rocks.

This follow-up to Dave’s Cave doesn’t quite match the charm of Dave’s Cave.  Dave and Jon come off as braggarts and of low intelligence – especially compared to the animals shown on the final pages.
