Animals keep taking over the nests of a little bird who has worked so hard to build each nest. Some are rude about it and some just want a soft place. The little bird finally has enough and puts a water buffalo on the job of knocking them all out. When the animals realize they took over a need nest, they all work together to build a group nest.

The text of this book is all in speech bubbles, which in this case, works well. I don’t love the way the animals treat each other along the way, but the final message is a positive one. The illustrations lack some luster and feel a little flat and static.
