This is an activity
book which takes a young reader through the Forest habitat. This one is very
much more focused on plants than the Savanna book from this series. Each page
has a coloring activity and a sticker activity (it comes with quite a few
stickers). An example would be: Chestnuts are good to eat! What about Mushrooms.
There is a fact box and the tasks to put chestnuts stickers on page and color the
mushrooms. The illustrations are quite large and simple.
This activity
book would not work for a library but it would be a fun activity if a teacher
could afford a copy for every student in their classroom. It would also make a
fun gift for a child who loves nature and can sit still for some busy work
(like on a plane). I don’t think this
one was appealing for a young reader as the Savanna book, due to the focus
being on plants not animals. I think a balance between plants and animals would
have improved the appeal.
