Is That You, Eleanor Sue? by Tricia Tusa - OPTIONAL

Is That You, Eleanor Sue? by Tricia Tusa. PICTURE BOOK. Roaring Brook Press (Macmillan), 2018. $18. 9781250143235

BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - OPTIONAL

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

A young girl repeatedly dresses up and crawls out her window and knocks on her front door. Her mother answers the door and plays along with the character her daughter has concocted. For her last costume, Eleanor Sue dresses up as her grandma just in time for her grandma’s arrival.

This book dragged on for far too long. Just when I thought we were coming to end of the book, Eleanor Sue would try on a new costume and the process would start all over. The text is a bit clunky and was tedious to read by the end.
