Lubna is a refugee. She found a pebble on the beach when she arrived, and after drawing a simple smile on it, the pebble became her best friend. Then a little boy arrives. Amir is scared and lonely but Lubna's pebble helps him too.
Wendy Meddour has written a sweet story about finding friendship in a difficult place - a refugee camp. Daniel Egnéus' illustrations are heartwarming and beautiful.
