Mirabel is very
shy and worried about Valentines Day. She carefully crafts valentines for each
of her classmates and heads to school the next day. On her way to school, a
hole in her bag results in all of valentines falling out. They are each found
by a person in town who really needed a boost. When she gets to school she is
horrified, is her day ruined?
First off,
these are some of the most incredibly adorable illustrations I have ever seen!
I would have rated this book much higher, but I feel that it sort of ends on a
depressing note. Each town's person that found one of the valentines was so
happy. When they find out they are just lost, they still seem happy. I found
this so sad. I think I would have liked this book better if it was about a shy
girl who notices sad people around town and because she is shy she secretly
leaves them valentines to cheer them up.
