This gives a basic overview of Diwali. Diwali is an Indian holiday that is also known as the festival of lights. There are clay lamps that are lit, fireworks, bright colors, and food as families celebrate together.
I love the bright colors and simple explanations of this Indian holiday. I have celebrated Diwali previously with Indian friends and felt that the descriptions were accurate and simple enough for children to understand. The pictures were beautiful and colorful and there was a fun Crayola coloring page you can copy at the back for kids to color, which is a fun addition.
