This
non-fiction book is the true story an endangered Mexican wolf family; starting
with having pups in captivity and their eventual release into the wilderness.
It features information about the wolves day to day lives, mostly the pups
including lots of photographs and a simple map in the back.
Have you read
the book series Scientists in the Field? This is like a lower budget version of
that. The pages where words are presented are brightly colored. But I like to
see more maps, charts, and fact bubble to catch readers attention and break up
longer block of text. A bit more information about what is unique about these wolves,
why they are endangered, why they are being bred for release, their former and
current habitat would have been awesome.
