AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
Edward the giraffe does not like his long neck. He compares himself to the other animals and cannot seem to disguise his own neck. Then he meets a turtle who helps him realize that having a long neck does have some benefits.
I enjoyed the message of accepting yourself and your differences. However, the dialogue was not as enjoyable for me and I think it was a little wordy for younger kids to completely enjoy. There was also one flap at the end of the book that seemed random because it was not used throughout the book.
