BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - ESSENTIAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
Fox and Chick are friends, but they are very different. Fox likes to read quietly, Chick is loud and boisterous. In "The Party" Chick asks to use Fox's bathroom, but Fox soon discovers that "use" means something different than he expected. In "Good Soup" Fox is making supper, but he doesn't want to eat what Chick suggests Foxes should eat. And in "Sit Still", Chick is determined to be are of the Landscape Fox is painting.
I'm sharing this book with everyone today. My goodness, so funny - the illustrations are adorable, the format is graphic novel-like, and the plot is delightful! I'm so glad to see easy readers that are as much about storyline as they are about accessibility.
