Nolan and his little sister Olive receive a package
with a special radio inside. When the
kids turn it on, the world around them goes in and out of focus and then Benjamin
Franklin appears in the middle of their kitchen. Ben is interested in the future and finds
that a lot of things he invented or cared about have come to be commonplace in our
world such as libraries, electricity and fire stations.
I totally enjoyed this book. Nolan and Olive are likable and its fun to image
what historical figures would think of our use of their contributions in
history. The illustrations add to the
story line and make the reading go quickly.
This is a fun time travel book that would appeal to kids who started
with Magic Tree House and reminds me of Steve Sheinkin’s Time Twister series.
