With a collage style combination of illustrations and photographs, this book is a comprehensive dive into the behaviors of cats. Many of the behaviors are compared to what humans do too and the language of the book is casual and conversational in tone. For example, the glossary is labeled “Say What?” instead of its formal title.

I was relieved that the book didn’t go to extreme lengths to anthropomorphize the animals and assign them human characteristics when there were not any. Instead I think the book did a good job of picking information that young readers could relate to in some tangential way.
