The book is tall and thin like a lighthouse. Many of the illustrations are presented in a circle, to give the reader the perspective of a round rooms. Blackall has illustrated Hello Lighthouse so beautifully: the angry sea, the foggy night, the changing seasons, the keeper and his family. A beautiful ode to lighthouses. Includes an author’s note about life in a lighthouse.
