Nolan and his sister Olive have a magic radio
that brings historical figures from the past into their home. This time it is Eleanor Roosevelt and she
brings her wisdom and understanding of the government to the community around
them. Olive and Nolan learn about
helping get a job done, protesting in their local government and Eleanor’s
friendship with Amelia Earhart. As the
siblings did in the first book in the series, they learn a lot and eventually
help Eleanor find her way back to her own time.
I enjoyed this fun read. Nolan
and Olive are easy to like and it’s fun to imagine what historical figures
would think of current events. Eleanor
Roosevelt is my favorite historical figure because of her intelligence, belief
in helping others and doing what is right, and this book reflects those
traits. Fun read.
