Zita the
Spacegirl starts out as just an ordinary girl with a knack for getting into
mischief. When Zita and her friend Joseph discover a meteoroid containing a
strange device with a button, well of course Zita presses the button! They are
transported to an alien world that is under threat of imminent destruction from
an asteroid. Worst of all Joseph is kidnapped and Zita is left all alone in a
strange and foreboding place! But it seems that Zita has a knack for making
friends, and thanks to her personality and bravery finds the right friends to
help her mount a rescue attempt for Joseph. A race against the clock, Zita and
her new allies must overcome numerous obstacles to reach their goal and save
the world. She becomes famous and that causes no end of trouble. Finally in the
third book she must work with all of her many friends to save earth itself.
Please tell me
you have this essential graphic novel series in your library, its top notch on
all accounts. I recommend it for 2-6th grade, its wholesome, fun,
and interesting with excellent artwork. This new box set is an opportunity to
get all three for your library or to give as a gift.
