Mouse is planning an apple party for all his friends. When he gets to the party, all the apples are gone. His friend Rico picked all the apples and didn’t want to share. The friends are all very upset, so they decided to all pitch in and make a pancake party instead. Each one of them brings something to put together to be made into the pancakes. Rico comes back and apologizes. He realizes that eating all the apples himself was not going to be as fun as eating them with his friends. They chop up the apples and add them into the pancakes, and have a wonderful time.
The Sharing Party is a cute lesson for teaching children about sharing. I loved the message it has. The text was too much for an early reader, but is great for a parent read-aloud. The illustrations are colorful and cute.
