A little girl is excited for her sister to wake up. While she is quietly waiting, she uses descriptive words to describe her sister, and she implements it into the artwork she is doing while she waits. Eventually, she falls asleep waiting for her baby sister to wake. Throughout the book she sprinkles in Hebrew words.
My Sister is Sleeping was cute. It was sweet to see the girl showing a good example of how to occupy herself quietly so as to not wake the baby. It was also a great demonstration of what it looks like to love a baby sibling. I also liked the Hebrew words sprinkled in. The book is full of amazing descriptive words, which is important for young readers to have examples of in their literature.
