Simon's parents take him to the big art museum. They are so excited to look at all the art. Simon soon gets bored of looking at it and he starts looking at the people looking at the art. He wants to slide on the slippery floors. He wants to chase the pigeons around the reflecting pool. But, that is a no-no. Now he just wants a piece of yummy looking cheesecake from the cafe. Will he ever get some?

I liked this book. It made me think of all the times I took my young children to art museums here in the states, in Norway, in Sweden, in Germany, and in Amsterdam. All they probably wanted was a treat! Some of the museums were awesome, and my kids like a lot of it. Museums full of paintings, not so much. But museums of Viking ships, bombed out buildings and old airplanes, and old technology they loved. We always got a treat after the visits.
