The Big Bad Wolf is trying to get into Pig’s house to eat him and has a change of plans. Pig sees the to-do list the wolf left behind, and learns that the wolf decided to go after Gran who is the grandmother of Little Red Riding Hood. Pig decides to go save Gran. He wants to wear a cape, but ends up with more of a shawl. Then he goes to buy a pair of binoculars, but they did not have any at the store, so he instead buys pointed glasses with a neck chain. He then goes to buy rope to catch the wolf, and the store was all out. Instead, he buys a basket full of yarn. Then the Wolf pops up behind him, thinking he is Gran, because he absolutely looks like a grandma at this point. Just as the wolf is about to eat him, a net drops on him, and out pops Gran. Gran and Pig put the wolf in Fairy-Tale Jail. Pig and Gran live happily ever after.

The Great Gran Plan is an adorable merging of the 2 Grimm Stories. The rhyming and rhythm of the story is on point, and the artwork is clever. There are hidden gems throughout the book, making it fun for both the parents and the kids. This book is one that would easily become a favorite in any household.
