Morrison’s illustrations are a visual delight – a beautiful look at different parts of Franklin’s life. However, there is not enough material here to actual call this a biography. 

Normally I love Weatherford’s work, but this time it fell very short for me. Even the back matter is not enough to make up for the lack of text on the pages. Maybe it was supposed to feel like a song, but it's a 30 second jingle, not a full-fleshed pop tune.
