All the new cars in the new car factory must line up by make and model to be transported to dealerships across the country. They all line up, except Axle. At first nobody notices, but when it is time to load the transport trucks, Axle is missed by the truck he is supposed to get on to, Earlene. Axle is too shy and too scared so he stays back until he is made and carefully coaxed up on to Earlene. Axle is so hesitant that Earlene decides to teach him a lesson. He has to learn to think and act for himself. Earlene suffers a mishap. Axle is the only one that can save her. Does he have the courage, the strength and the get-up-and-go to do it? Does he have the courage it will take?

I loved this book about the little, red car Axle. The illustrations are full of expressions and very well done. My little 3 year old grandson loved me reading this to him. My 92 year old mother-in law loved me reading it to her. We had fun reading and discussing the pictures. This is a cute book that is fun for all ages from 3 to 92!
