Sophie is an otter who is collecting pairs of seashells. She is holding one and tells you what she is looking for. Then, the child has 3 flaps to lift, under one is the matching shell.
AJ had a good time with this lift-the-flap book. The clue has bold capitalized words and the shell she is looking for has a match in the illustration, so this early reader had some great support to figure out new words, like "stripes" "triangles" and squiggles. The flaps are sturdy, and the back page has a fun wheel to turn and look at all the shells that were collected.
