Touch by Ruth Spiro and Irene Chan - OPTIONAL

Touch (
Baby Loves The Five Senses) by Ruth Spiro - illustrated by Irene Chan BOARD BOOK Charlesbridge, 2020. $9. 9781623541552

BUYING ADVISORY: Pre K - OPTIONAL

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Baby is helping with the laundry and touches the hard basket and the soft clothes, the wet and cold out of the washer then the dry and warm from the dryer. Babies hands and feet and face have the most receptor cells for touch.

The illustrations are super cute, but I really think it's too educational for baby.  With drawings of the skin and the nervous system, plus accurate, yet simple explanations, it's a bit much for a toddler.  I think parents will think themselves clever for exposing their youngster to this information right away.
