AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
Poppy is a show penguin. The audiences adored Poppy. Poppy worked hard so she could make her parents proud of her. Everybody loved Poppy and her acts. But, Poppy was not very happy. She was not enjoying herself. Poppy would much rather feel calm and in control, and not unsafe and unsure like she feels during her acts. On vacation, enjoying some peace and quiet, Poppy realized she missed the showy costumes and the magic of the show. She had an idea, what if she could help organize the show instead of starring in it. Read on to find out how Poppy does and if she is happy in her new and chosen role.
Oh - the penguins in this book are so huggable and cute. The book reminds me of the movie The Greatest Showman. In the book Poppy overcomes being very shy and realizes she can do it and she can do a great job. Poppy discovers that she has hidden talents and that she is very good at what she does. This was a delightful, happy and positive story. I really liked reading it.
